History

This motor cruiser was built by the British Marine Motor Launch Co Ltd in 1919 at Old Kirkpatrick on the Clyde. TO BE is reputed to have taken part in the Dunkirk evacuation of 1940. At some point her original engine, which has not been identified, was replaced by a 1946 Dorman Ricardo Stafford engine: this was in turn replaced by a Perkins 4 107 diesel in 1971. Confirmation of details are difficult because the name of the boat may not be its original name. January 2008
