History

In 1968 Hoyle Schweitzer filed a patent for the Windsurfer in the USA. Ten Cate was the distributor of the craft first in Holland, then in other European countries, and went on to build it under licence. This model, built in 1977 by Ten Cate of Almelo, USA, is made of rotamoulded polyethylene and has a wooden wishbone and centreboard. October 2007
