History

Built in1904 by Adams and Gyngall of Reading. The early history of this Thames skiff is unknown but in 1924 she came into the ownership of the Winsor/Harding/Hope family. It was used actively until about 1948, having participated in many pre-war regattas, and was kept on Ham Island by Old Windsor lock. TARA was then left under cover until 1998 when she was moved to Woottens at Cookham Dean for a major restoration. Re-launched in 2001, she is now in regular use. Won Chaplin Trophy at Thames Traditional Boat Rally. January 2008
