History
TALISMAN II was designed by N E Dallimore and built by W King & Sons for Lord Ruthven at Burnham on Crouch in 1924. N E Dallimore was a prolific designer who won competitions for his designs. In 1932 he designed the Royal Burnham One Design. TALISMAN II is an interesting early example of the yachts that he designed. It is not known how many of his designs were built, and, more importantly how many survive today. A half model of TALISMAN II has been located in Starcross Yacht Club. There are references to another 27ft aux yacht KISHTI being built to his design in Falmouth in 1924. TALISMAN II's present owner is restoring her at Mylor. GH Nov 2011
