History

STELLA was built in 1909 by Jackie Bowden in Porthleven and launched as a lugger for Johnny Williams who used her for crabbing and later for drifting and long-lining. She started dredging in the Fal in 1941 and continued until 1989 when she was sold to her present owner who uses her for racing. November 2009 (Picture courtesy of Classic Boat)
