History
First production Wayfarer 1957 after two prototypes. Used by Ian Proctor as the boat to launch the Wayfarer at the 1958 Boat Show (Jan 1-11). Retained, probably as ‘demonstrator’, before being sold to private ownership in early 1960s likely due introduction of GRP as standard hull. Stored dry and unused in garage roof 1970s to late 2014 when house and garage sold and boat purchased by current owner. Believed to have been the boat displayed on the Small Craft stand at the National Boat Show 1958 see YW 1958 pp63 & 67.
A very rare and unusual survivor condition 'Almost as new' no restoration required. GH Feb 2015
