History
SILVER HERON is an early purpose-built and designed canal cruiser by Holt Abbott trading as Canal Pleasurecraft Ltd, inspired by author, LCT Rolt. Similar vessels were in CPL's hire fleet in the 1950's. Designed to be able to be built by amateurs, they were able to go anywhere on the silted canals of the time, yet to be luxurious by the standards of the day. SILVER HERON has cruised extensively over the English canal and river systems and is presently about to be relaunched after two years restoration. 27/07/2013 NRJ
