History

Stored in the Potato Shed Flat bottomed, shell first, clinker built but only 2 strake planks have been shaped (outside plank is curved to be wider at the middle) There is no visible evidence of how this boat is propelled: we propose it may have been punted standing in the boat, or possibly towed from land. Both the stem post and sternpost have metal sheeting overlaid on the outside - attached with nails: it has been folded and curved along the bottom about 20cm. On each frame there is a metal rod bolted on: at the forward port frame and the aft starboard frame, a ring is also attached. There is also a metal chain attached to the stern post.
