History
NOMAD was built by F C Morgan Giles in 1908 at Hammersmith, London. This clinker-built dinghy influenced the design of well known classes of racing dinghy which were developed in the 1920’s and 1930’s. She has light bamboo spars, a cast iron drop keel and copper buoyancy tanks. She was presented to NMM in 1977 by Sir John Palmer who had owned her since 1934. October 2007
