History
Originally built as a salmon punt, she was designed to carry old heavy cotton nets and to cope with shallow water when fishing for salmon and sea trout at the entrance to Christchurch harbour. She was also used to catch mullet, bass and shellfish.
Her size made her ideal for use as a passenger ferry during the summer season, carrying 12 passengers from Mudeford Quay, across the hazardous stretch of water called the Run, to the beaches of Mudeford Sandbank on the other side.
