History
Designed and built as a high powered racing hydroplane to challenge for the Harmsworth Trophy held in the USA in 1933. MISS BRITAIN III came a close second and returned to the UK. In November 1933 Scott-Paine achieved over 100mph on Southampton Water, a first for single engined craft. In 1934 he raised the world record for single engined craft to 110 mph. MISS BRITAIN III was presented to the National Maritime Museum Greenwich in 1951 where it is now on display in the Neptune Court. September 2009
