History

MADALAINE was built in 1965 by Mashfords of Cremyll, Cornwall to a design by Jack Laurent Giles. She was built for Commander Henry Angus and sold by him to Rev. Michael and Mrs Palmer in 1997. They carried out a restoration that included a re-placement of the original Stuart Turner petrol engine with a Yamar 2GM20 diesel, a Selden aluminium mast, stainless steel rigging and terylene sails. MADALAINE was sold in 2006 and attended the Festivals of Brest and Douarnenez in 2008. Her sister ship, KALLISTE, was built in the late 1930's and is now in USA. October 2008
