History
LEAF was designed (C1956) as a 12ft sectional 'Packboat' by T Whittle & Sons of Warrington. Built of hot-moulded laminated timber with mahogany gunwales, varnished throughout and constructed in three sections, which bolt together with gaskets to form the finished craft. Each section nests into the others for simple stowage when not in use. They could be carried the roof rack of a small car such as the Triumph Herald. There is a mounting board for an outboard motor. These craft were exhibited at the 1957 Boat Show at Olympia. LEAF attended the Thames Traditional Boat rally in 2009. -see article in Classic Boat 2000 March page 58. December 2010
