History
KONG was built in 1961 by Fairey Marine and was modified in 1985 to have a Mk 3 deck layout. In 2009 Won S W Championships and more notable , was KONG's triumph last summer in Weymouth in the 2014 Sir Ralph Gore Challenge Trophy race, the Fireflies' most coveted and historic piece of silverware. In 2015 she won the South West Championships again sailed by her present owner in a fleet of about 30 at Restronguet SC. GH June 2015
