History
GLEAM was designed by Robert Clark with the aim of making this boat drier than a Dragon for racing in the tidal waters of the Crouch and its approaches. GLEAM's glued plank construction with laminated frames and knees, was unusual when she was built by King's in 1938. With just a working headsail and a moderate mainsail area, GLEAM could be quickly got under way and was lively to sail. Now undergoing a complete restoration by her present owner. More research is being undertaken to establish her conmplete history. Sept 2012 GH
