History

CYMBA was built by Bonds of Maidenhead in 1908 and allegedly owned by the Astor family of Clivedon. She was fully restored by Peter Freebody in 1992/1993. Her design so impressed him that he created the CYMBA Class of canoes. She was purchased form Freebody by Jack Henley and then in 2003 she was seen at the Thames Traditional Rally by her present owners who took her to the 2009 Rally. August 2009
