History

COLLINETTE was built in 1885 for Mr Frederick Cox by Stockham and Pickett in Southampton. Originally she was una -rigged but was converted to gaff sloop in1891 and then to gaff cutter in 1913. She moved to the Dartmouth area in 1895 where her new owner, Col. Studdy, had a counter stern added by the Teign Shipbuilding Co.. By the 1920's she had moved north an was being sailed out of Brough Haven by a Dr Sutherland. Still sailing in 1970's, she had a lowering mast but was in poor condition. Major restoration was started in 1982 and lasted fourteen years before re-launch. July 2010 (Picture courtesy of Classic Boat)
