History
CLICKITICLICK is an unusual example of an early Fireball class dinghy. The Fireball was designed to be capable of amateur construction but home-builders often chose to buy a professonally built undecked hull to finish off themselves. CLICKITICLICK is an example of this approach: the hull was built by Jack Chippendale at Fareham, Hants. and finished off by her first owner, W D Everington of Brancaster Staithe S C.
The class introduced a trapeze in 1965 and, in common with most, if not all, Fireballs of that time this boat was upgraded to take one but, after that, she was seemingly never altered to the present day. She was not upgraded to take a spinnaker and has remained extremely simply fitted out - very much a throwback to mid-1960's dinghy sailing. She is in very good condition and is currently undergoing a light renovation. Ocober 2010
