History
Keel laid down, under name of VESTA III, by Landamores of Wroxham, Norfolk in 1938 and when finished was probably moored on the Broads as part of wartime defences. Sold in 1941 and renamed RABRIAN. In 1955 she was renamed CARENDA by an owner in Norwich. In 1963 she was returned by a new owner to her builders to carry out a major redesign and refit to convert her to a sea-going estuary cruiser and was placed on the British Register in 1965. Her original Morris Navigator petrol engine was replaced with a Perkins 4.107 diesel in 1964. In 2005 a major restoration was undertaken by Hippersons of Beccles. Believed to be the oldest surviving sea going vessel built by Landamores. GH July 2011
