History
Like her sister ship SALLYPORT (R 969), BEMBRIDGE was built by George Feltham of Old Portsmouth in 1961 to replace a similar boat lost by arson at Southsea Rowing Club. Saved from being scrapped in the 1980’s by the late Pat Sherwin, she was also re-ribbed and restored by Bill Pender of Ryde, Isle of Wight, and continues to be used for recreational rowing by the Pat Sherwin Trust.
