History
The Olympia - Jolle or O-Jolle was designed by Helmut Stauch as the single-handed dinghy for the 1936 Berlin Olympic games, for which the yachting events were held in Kiel. The British competitor was (Sir) Peter Scott who won the Bronze Medal. A number of O -Jolle were brought to Britain for the Olympic qualifying matches held at Burnham in May 1936. It is possible that this boat is one of of that group. Its history is unknown before the 1950's when it is known to have been sailed in Chichester harbour. November 2007
