History

CLARITIE is an early example of the use of a vacuum moulding in boat building, which produced a strong double curvature 'plywood' shell from two layers of 3mm mahogany glued together, competed with the hot and cold moulding processes that had been used commonly during and after WW II. The introduction of simpler and cheaper GRP hulls in the early 60's rendered these methods obselete. Nov 2012 GH.
