History
DENISE SIMONE was the last wooden working Pilot Boat in the UK working for Dover Pilots, serving there from 1962 to 1998. She then had a period as an Auxiliary Coastguard vessel based in Faversham. The Dover Harbour Board gave her the honour to display her attachment amidships. Also the Mayor of Dover gifted her a Cinque Port Dover Insignia in recognition of her being the very last wooden Pilot Boat. Dec 2013 GH
