Removed from Beale Park.. Flying Ten No 26 built in Aln Boatyard, Alnwick in 1949 The Flying Ten was designed by Uffa Fox in1948 as a small keel boat suitable for children to race. Basically a minature Flying Fifteen. The rig was adapted from the reduced rid designed and produced for the Firefly. The 185lb fin keel is bolted on and can be taken off in ten minutes. Brigand was in the 1993 Phillip's Auction at Henley. Catalogue states that BRIGAND was in present ownership for 32 years and that the mahogany planked hull had been carefully fibreglassed. Believed to be the sole survivor of the 30 or so of the class built. Currently on loan tot the R&RBM..GH Aug 15x
