History
Built as one of a batch of Admiralty 32ft Motor Cutters by Douglas Stone & Sons Brightlingsea. She is believed to have been used on boom defence work until 1953 when she was sold as surplus to requirements. Since 1953 when she was bought by Lt Col Bingham, converted into a motor yacht and named MINION she has had a number of owners. At a date before 1970 MINION was placed on the British Register at Faversham with the Official Number 300345. ( More research needed to establish exact date and to confirm owners' names.) Donated to the Medway Maritime Trust MINION is currently under restoration as a community project at Sheerness Docks. GH Jan 2013
