History
AN STRADAG was designed by Lorne Campbell and built for Fiona, Duchess of Arran to improve World Electric Water Speed Record. This was achieved in 1988 using electric motors designed and built by Cedric Lynch. The craft was later purchased by Don Sidebottom for display at the Lakeland Motor Museum at Cartmel, Lancs.. New engines were designed by Cedric Lynch and fitted by Henley on Thames Boatyard of Colin Henwood. Driven by Helen Loney, the boat set a new World Record of 68.09 mph at Coniston Records Week in 2005 - see article in Classic Boat 2006 March page57 January 2011 (Picture couresty of Classic Boat)
