History
The Tideway sailing dinghy began life as the Walker 12 having been designed and built by L H Walker & Co in 1954. No lines of the dinghy were drawn by Walker and it was only when the Owner's Association formed in 1964 that the design was set, the boats registered, the class affiliated with the RYA and the name changed to the Tideway. Dinghy number 100 was kept by Walker for his own use - see article in Classic Boat 1998 March page 56 January 2011 (Picture courtesy of Classic Boat)
