History
This 14ft RNSA dinghy was built at Rosyth in 1960. Like all others in her class, she was developed from the Island Class 14ft One Design (see R 1783). The 14ft RNSA was adopted by the RNSA in 1935 (after being first adopted by the Royal Air Force Yacht Club!). Subsequently, its design was modified from an 18 ft mast to that of a gunter rig for easy embarkation in HM Ships and became the subject of an Admiralty specification in 1937. These boats were mainly built by Shipwright Apprentices in the second year of their training in various home dockyards, No 203/60 RNSA was built in Rosyth. December 2009 (Archive)
