History
RIPPLE was built by J Smith in Lerwick in 1928. In general his boats were for recreational purposes rather than as work boats, and of rather better finish than usual. This particular boat was used as a general purpose boat for fishing, moving sheep to the islands and taking passengers to Papa Stour, also a little racing. She even carried 4 herring nets, but was probably not hard used. November 2009
