History
The DART catamaran was based on the Tornado catamaran, also designed by Rodney March. It was unique in that, by removing the jib, it could be sailed single-handed. It was also unusual in having a 'floating' mast that facilitated righting after a capzize. This vessel. No 1, won the first National Championship in 1977 and the European Championship in 1978.
