History
Built in 1922 by E L Woods at Cantley, Norfolk, CHARM is a stretched version of Albert Strange’s last design (No 156 VENTURE). Her first voyage, from Lowestoft to Falmouth and back, was in 1923 and was written up in Yachting Monthly magazine of October of that year. She was re-rigged as a sloop from about 1950 until 2000 but is now back to gaff yawl as designed. For some time CHARM sailed without an engine but she now has an auxiliary.
