History
Designed and built by Aldous in 1927 at Brightlingsea as CK 1. De-registered in 1938 and said to have been found in Scotland in the early 1970s and transported to Maldon where she was rebuilt in her present form. ALANDO passed through several owners until she was purchased by a man from Falmouth in the 1980s who had her registered as CK 178 and used her for fishing on the Fal. She was then sailed to Maldon where she was bought by her present owner who is carrying out an on-going restoration. Continues to be raced in the Medway area. July 2008
