History
FATHER's DAY is probably the smallest vessel to have been sailed across the Atlantic. It was based on Hugo Vihlen's experience gained when he sailed the Atlantic in APRIL FOOL in 1968. She was built to re-capture the record for smallest boat to cross the Atlantic then held by Tom McNally. The voyage of FATHER'S DAY lasted 105 days and is described in 'The Stormy Voyage of FATHER'S DAY'. The vessel was kindly donated to the National Maritime Museum Cornwall by Mr Vihlen in 2006.
