History

Built as yacht NADA by Jacket in 1912 and possibly owned by the artist Tuke. In 1934 she was owned by Michael Tennant, a memberof the Royal Yacht Squadron, and registered at Cowes. She has had a series of owners (NMMC boat file) and various engines. Renamed CURLEW by 1950, she was purchased by an American, Miles Martin, and sailed to Lisbon where she was abandoned. About 1980 she was purchased by a Norwegian and in the 1990's by a Portigese who carried out some restoration. She was bought by her present owners in 1996 and brought back to the UK. CURLEW is one of Jackett's remaining yachts with many original fittings and is now kept at St Mawes GH April 2010 (Picture courtesy of FQP Association/NMMC)
