History

This vessel was designed and built as a fishing boat in 1934 by Watterson and Neakle at Peel in the Isle of Man in what may have been an attempt to re-vitalise the local fishing industry. After a few years CAIR VIE changed hands and by 1951 had been removed from the fishing register as she was no longer being used for fishing. She was converted to a yacht. Her rig was subsequently changed from a lugger to a Bermudan cutter ketch and her original National gas oil engine was replaced by a Ruggerini diesel. January 2008
