History

Built in 1951 for a Windermere Motorboat Racing Club member and was raced for many years against the likes of Norman Buckley and Donald Cambell. Its construction is mainly original, although its American Flathead Ford engine was replaced by a Daimler 4.6 litre V 8 (built about 1962). The boat is believed to be the only big Btirish rear-cockpit hydroplane still running and is said to be capable of up to 114 mph. November 2007
