History

FIREBIRD was designed by Arthur Comben and built by Henry B Hornby of Wallasey in 1933 for a Mr Sayer. Since the 1940’s she has been on the East coast. In 1973 her original Stuart Turner P5 engine was replaced by a P6 model. Although her sails and rigging have been replaced, her new suit of sails were cut to the original drawings and the rigging is to original standard with Liverpool eye splices and fully served in marline.
