History
This Star class dinghy was designed by George Cockshott and built by Dickies of Bangor in 1932 for Mr Brooke Walthew. Although numbered No 3, she was a replacement of the previous No 3 which was built in 1907. These boats were sailed by the West Lancashire Yacht Club at Southport and later by the West Kirby Sailing Club in Wirral. AQUILA was presented to the Merseyside Maritime Museum by Mr G R Cross in 1989. November 2007
