History
KELPIE was built by amateur builder, Mr H E Kennedy, in 1902 on the lines of RANI IV. She has never been rebuilt, apart from one garboard plank. She had an outstanding racing record at Erith for 50 years and is now sailing on the East Coast after being in continuous service since her launch in Greenwich in 1902. November 2007 (Picture courtesy of Classic Boat) KELPIE II was designed by Pain -Clark and built by H E Kennard at Erith, Kent in 1902. She was owned until 1988 by the son of the builder. Apart from the war years, she has never been out of service and even now while being refurbished by her present owner she has not missed a season. July 2015 GH
