History
Built by Albatross Marine in 1953 for Toby Sutton as a propriding racing hydroplane powered by a Chevrolet V8 petrol engine which he raced at Oulton Broad. ROOSTER was badly damaged when it caught fire in at the end of a race on Oulton Broad on 15th September 1960 and did not race again. In 1979 the remains of ROOSTER were restored by the students at Lowestoft as a potential 'runner': ROOSTER could not plane during trials and was donated to the MBM at Basildon. Was photographed and measured at the Museum. Collection has since been dispersed and location of vessel is unknown. GH Jan 2012
