History

BERYLLA II is a 1.5 ltr aluminium hydroplane built in 1930's by Birmal Boats of Southampton for P Pritchard to drive in the 1935 Spreckles Trophy race in Paris. The hull was constructed from high quality Birmabright aluminium alloy and fitted with a 1.5 ltr Birmal inboad racing petrol engine. Displayed with no engine fitted. Was photographed and measured at Museum. Collection has since been dispersed and location of vessel is now unknown. January 2010
